Dont you have a glove box to messure the dimensions?
You must if you want to mount your afc in it. Get a tape measure.

I would use particle board, put felt on it, cut a hole for the guage, drill a hole for the AFC wire, and then use velcro to hold the AFC in place.

Use cardboard as a cutout, than trace onto thin wood.

I used an old piece from a carbon fibre hood to mount my cd-changer in the glove box. You can use whatever material you like. Just dont get something too thin.

You can fiberglass it, make a mold so the bottom is flat and lay fiberglass on top of that, and then when you pull it off of the mold the bottom will be perfectly smooth (if the mold is smooth and you can then use that).

dwn-shifts method looked great......he made a custom pod for his gauges and afc out of the plastic trim with the vents that goes around the gauges in his hatch. I saw it at the meet today and was definatley impressed.

Sanded balsa wood with felt over top and subtle holes drilled into the back of it would look just cherry Not a lot of work and it can look really good if you do it right.

With the turbo timer sitting next to it, I'd assume one of them is an AVC-R.
