I just picked up this manifold for my WRX. Just curious what the FI guys think of the design/build, etc.

Its nice and shiny.. do you know the material its made of? btw what does something like that go for?

Looks like the HKS manifold if i am not mistaken. A friend had one of the prototypes last year, and mentioned considerable increase in power with his gt30 turbo on his wrx.

 

It's all stainless, including the flanges, but I'm not sure of the exact grade. I paid ~$750 for it, but it includes an up-pipe (gets rid of 1 of 3 cats) which are normally 200-300.

The header was originally designed for the european RS-T - 2.5 liter. It didn't clear the US crossmenber, so they re-engineered it to work w/the US engine. It's made bya company called 'GT-Spec'. As I understand it, it's produced in teh same factory/people that make the HKS manifold

I'm totally amazed at the quality of the product for only $750. Most WRX manifolds run 1100+ and don't include an up-pipe.

Hopefully, the 4wd dyno near me will be completed soon, so I can see some real numbers, but others w/similar mods have gained ~25-30whp.
