vibrating from drivers side when car is hot
ok i dont know when this started happening because i havent driven the car for about 3-4 months due to body work and turbo install, but after the turbo kit was installed everything was fine, until the car is fully warm. This is a H22A1 motor in a 4th gen prelude with fmax turbo kit. Personally i dont know if the first mechanic screwed up or something but me and my other mechanic have been trying to narrow it down, so i need some opinions or suggestions. this is what happens when the car is fully warmed up and can only really feel it from the drivers side:
2 problems occur
1. CEL goes off and on every once in a while (we figure it might be the IAC sensor or the IAT sensor) which were going to test the IAT soon.
2. Car vibrates when its in gear and i gas it. At around 3k rpm itll make like a metal to metal rubbing noise or like a vibrating noise. it goes away after i let go of the gas or when im not in gear, and if i floor it to full boost its hard to tell if it goes away or not because the exhaust gets louder.
We checked the timing, crank pulley bolt, we figured it cant be the wheel bearings because it only happens when the motor is hot and the cars in gear, and we checked anything possibly loose or hanging etc.
So far its being narrowed down to: might be low on tranny fluid, or the clutch mightve gone bad, such as throw out bearing, or its out of alignment, etc.
If none of the above, then it might be the motor which i hope its not.
Any ideas? please help thanks
