Can you identify these struts?
they look liek stock to me.
nice springs

Thanks, they're H&R Sports. I didn't have enough $$ to get good struts when we did the springs last year, so I just used what was on there. Surprisingly, the ride isn't that bad.
The chassis has close to 200K, so there's no way the struts are original, is there? I think one of the previous owners must have replaced them with OE, because none of them are blown. I've been riding on them a while too--that's why I can't believe it when everyone says "you'll blow your factory shocks two weeks after you lower your car."
I guess they're definitely stock. Bummer
Those of you with stock struts and performance springs, what's your opinion of the setup?

well performance springs and stock struts is not to bad, as long as its not a big drop. i ran cut springs for a little while with my stock struts and it worked out ok, it was a small drop.
Those of you running stock struts with perfromance springs-
I'm mainly wondering how long your stock struts lasted after you put the springs on?

replace em now cuz youll end up having to buy another set of shocks anyway and then youd at least have good stock shocks to go back to stock springs later.

I have/had (back to stock for winter, plus alot of other changes) H&R race springs on when I was road racing at the end of this summer. I had 88 rears with tockico blues, and stock shocks up front. You could tell right off that the rear of the car was awesomely stiff and solid, and you could feel a little more of the stock shock gush up front, not too bad though, and pretty awesome at the track. I pretty much make runs about every weekend that put equivalent loads on my suspension, so I have a fairly aggresive wear rate on these parts, but after about two months is when I really started to notice that they were going down hill fast. The front end started to sway around with less and less control as they started to go bad. They're not blown, but well on their way. I'd guess about another month at my pace before they just crapped out.

i think he means 88 rear LCAs....cuz theyre different from 89-91. I had the same setup he does...H&R race springs with stock shocks....and boy the stock shocks crapped out in like 3 months of hard autox and "spirited" street driving. But i swapped them out for my Tanabe sustec shocks and its as good as new..even better. I also have the 88 rear LCA's.
I have blue struts I can't find a name on them anybody know what they could be the chassis has over 200k on it too. So I don't think there stock.Just Curious.
