Default Making a turbo kit...need help on turbo size

Hey guys, I'm looking between a few differrent turbos.
T3/T4e
4 Bolt Discharge Flange
.63 A/R Turbine Housing
Stage III Turbine
.60 A/R Compressor Housing
57 Trim Compressor Wheel

GT25 - twin BB
.64 A/R Turbine Housing
76 Trim Turbine
T04S
.70 A/R Compressor Housing
48 Trim Compressor Wheel
Compressor Flow: 44 LB/MIN

and

Turbonetics T3/60-1
Non Ball Bearing Center Section
.63 A/R Turbine Housing
Stage III Turbine
.70 A/R Compressor Housing
60-1 Trim Compressor Wheel

This will be going on a Sleeved B18B with turbo cams and a 50 shot to help with the spool on the non-ball bearing turbos. I'm having problems figuring out the flow rates of the T3/t4e and the T3/60-1. I'm leaning towards the GT25 and the T3/T4e...other people are using the **** out of these and seeing good results with a similar set-ups. The B18 so far has 9:2:1 C/R with head gasket, nitrated valves, and coated JE slugs, eagle rods of couse. I'm wanting to hit the 350-400hp marks and not over turbo the car for loads of lag.

I guess this is an opinion question, and need help with math on the T3/T4 for flow rates. Thankx,
Ryan

Ryan..
From what you posted and if a street car look a the T04E/T3 57trim or 60trim w/ .63a/r.
What bore are you looking to run?
Either of those should fit the bill for you.
The 57trim should flow about 50lb/min and the 60trim should flow 53lb/min.
Hope this helps ya out, also take a look at this post: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=412515

here is a dyno of 2 LS's
DIRep's w/ a T04E/T3 (57trim w/ .63a/r) Stock LS-Revhard Kit @12psi

And Boostaholic's, LS w/ T3/60-1 Stock @ 12psi

Hope this helps yah!!
Eric

Thankx for the replies,
This is going to be a marginal street car, more of a track sunday driver. I'm not too worried about driveability pn the street. I have a 1800 lbs CRX that the motor is going in.
Why not turbonetics? I have a friend that is selling them and was going to give me a killer price.
Well back to searching a little more.

How did you get those number? I have been looking for the formula for some time.

THANKX again,
Ryan

The T04E 57 trim can flow 50 lb/min worth of air whereas the T04E 60 trim can flow 53 lb/min liek Eric said. The 60-1 can flow 60 lb/min worth of air, but is far less efficnet that the T04E compressor. The GT25 will produce 350 whp, but you will need to go with the larger .86 a/r turbine housing in order to get that much power. Any T3/T04E witha .63 A/r turnbine housing will get you to that power level as well. Another thing you may want to consider is that HKS no longer carries the B Series T25 flanged cast manifold, so you will have to get a manifold built to fit a T3 turbine housing.

The quality of the T'netics is going down hill in my opinion. the customer service also sucks big time. I just keep seeing cars make more hp and the same size turbos with precision.

thankx for that insite there...on the T-netics..
What do you guys think of Garett...or what other brand is good?

The GT25 and GT30 use T25 (gt25) and T3 on the GT30. the T25 flange is easy to make...about 10 minutes in the metal room. I have made everything from custom headers, to flanges, to custom brackets. Metal work is easy.

That's why I switched over to Innovative Turbo!

what are you putting down with that turbo.
Again man that is some bling bling for the engine bay...the intake compressor looks deadly...nice design. through it looks shallow. What is the flow rate of that one also? about 55lbs?
