Moron.....Anyway, someone wrote into a mag about how his entire engine was covered in the same ****. But not just his headers, maybe its coolant? Im actually not sure. Is the residue behin the headers on the block? Is it on the radiator fans?
gmoore

EDIT- Wait a minute, you said INSIDE? Is it actually inside the header? If it is, I have no idea.

i gurantee you if you pull off the oil pan you will have a layer of oil on top and antifreeze on th bottom. theonly thing that produces a white residue in the engine upper or lower block is water antifreeze mix. probably have a seal problem.

yes, it is inside the exhaust piping from header to tip. I think i do have a leak (headgasket) since i have 100k+ mi.

Running too rich or lean wouldnt cause this would it?

Thanks

Is it possible to have a leak from other than the headgasket?

dumbass

i'd bet on that head gasket being the problem....there's really no where else for antifreeze to get inside....coolant burns white which would explain the white residue
