I think you would need a long straight piece to make an upper charge pipe. The piping I got don't seem to have that included. I got 5 90deg bends and 1 45deg bend
Honestly, what you'll probably do is this...
1 90 from the turbo
2 90s around the radiator suppor and into the ic
2 90s out the ic and back into the engine compartment
1 90 up from this pipe, angeled about 45 deg towards back of car
1 45 from here towards back of car
1 90 from here to tb
make sense? very detailed eh... i don't think you'll need extra, more than likely you'll have enough extra straight pipe from cutting the pieces that you'll be able to make your upper charge pipe without welding two straights together between any of the bends...does that also make sense? eeehh...

Here's a very professional artistic rendition of what I described. You'll have to use your imagination to cut and angle the upper ic pipe, but it's not that hard.

Here's some pics of when I did the SOHC...DOHC isn't done yet.
During this period I was experimenting with paint ...
... finally decided on metallic silver (not pictured). Just a disclaimer so I don't get ragged on for having rainbow pipes!

I only got six cheap ole 180 degree, Mild steel U bends from the MaxRev kit.
I'm not going to even use it considering how easily it rust. I'm goign to buy some Aluminized Steel U-bends from JCwhitney.com. It's only about 13.95 per pipe and if you already have cold air intake, you don't even need THAT many pipes.
I'm getting 4 pipes from them. Only need 3 but I'm getting four just in case.

You do know that the Maxrev ones are aluminized, right? I'm sure theirs come from JCW also, they are both Imco brand.
Also, damn, that guy with the picture album has some scary *** pipes!! Not trying to dog him but that upper IC pipe kind of ... I dunno. Not the best way to do it.

Yeah maybe the stainless is new, but unless they are REEEALLY cheap, you should have gotten aluminized mild steel, not bare steel.
If you got 5/90 and 1/45 then you should get either:
A: 2/90 deg steel
B: 1/90 deg silicone 1/90 deg steel
C: 1/90 deg steel 1/45 deg steel
D: 1/90 deg silicone 1/45 deg steel
You really need to look at it and use a little caliper or something to help you determine which bends to get. Remember, the less bends the better, so if you can use 180's around the sides, that's better than 2 90's on each side.

That is a great link. I have that place on my fav list. helps a lot of what I still might need to do.
yeah though, I think I'm goin to just order the aluminized piping later today. Since I already have Cold Air intake, I was told that I don't need as many pipes as I would normally. And according to that link. I technically only need about 3 180degree u bends. I might just get 4 u bends just in case. couldn't hurt, and won't be a bitch if I find out I acutally need more pipes you know?
