ok...this is my plan.
bottom end: (leaving the bottom end stock because i dont want to pull the motor, lazy)
stock d16a6 block
stock rods
stock pm6 pistons
head:
88 pm3 head slightly ported to match IM and header
valves slightly unshrouded
maybe a 3 angle valvejob at most
stock valvetrain
milled 0.025"
y8 head gasket - gives about 9.84:1 CR
cam-crane stage 2, webcam stage 2, or the exospeed sr909
intake:
98 d16y8 intake manifold matched to head
90 b18a 58mm throttle body
ractive (generic) cai
exhaust:
airmass header matched to head
random technologies high-flo cat
dc sports cat-back
ecu:
stock pm6 or 88-89 pg7 whichever i can get to run better with fuel press. regulator
any good suggestions? should i go with this or would it be worth it to take the motor out and build the bottom end with some endyn pistons/ls rods? or go with some overbored pg6b or p29 pistons (86-87 or 88-89 teg resp.) if there wont be piston to valve interference? not sure if valve centerlines match up or not.
i think that ill be looking at maybe around 140 hp and 125 ftlb. but with the stage 2 cams it should still have gobs more torque down low than stock. if i am crazy with these numbers let me know...im going by that desktop dyno program, i figure it might be somewhat close.
or should i just look into getting a z6 head (yeah dist. doesn't fit good)? ive heard that they are better (flow wise) than the y8.
i appreciate any suggestions or criticisms. thanks.

if you want to step up to the best D series stuff.. go with a Bisimoto SOHC header and one of our cams. SKunk2 SOHC intake manifold should be out soon also..
