Default Easier way to get theft code.

I own a '94 integra and I didnt get the manual or theft code with the car. I took apart the console and got the serial number and some 5 digit number that was after the letters NL (same # of digits as the theft code) off of the cd player. The dealer who sold me the car said that b4 he sold it, he called the acura dealer with the numbers off the cd player and they told him the theft code. I tried this and they said they couldnt do it over the phone. I plan on taking it in but it's a loong *** drive so i was wondering if the code was hidden in the numbers i pulled off the player or if i can call acura directly or something. Basically, all i did was save $85 they were gonna charge me unless they pull some **** again and say they have to take it apart anyway.
Anyway, this experience has completely pissed me off and any help would be appreciated.

That sucks man they should of gave you the code. Why don't you try calling and say that you work for a caraudio shop and need the code for a factory radio.

I was able to get the Stereo code over the phone from the local acura dealer. all they needed was the VIN and the Stereo Serial Number. Really, if you think about it, that's a big security risk. They should make you go to the dealer to get it. Sorta defeats the purpose of the code if ya know what i mean.
