Check Engine - Code 41 ? ? ?
My check engine light came on one day and this was after noticing that my A/F was extremely rich, also my O2 sensor gauge wasn't reading anything.
I checked the O2 sensor and saw that it was broken. I purchased a new one which was from a 1996 civic, I drive a 1995, would this matter?
After installing the new O2 sensor, it get a check engine light, when checking the code, I get 4 solid flashes of the check engine light and then 1 quick flash then it stops an does the cycle again. This would be a code 41 right?
I now after installation of the new O2 sensor, cannot get the A/F to read anything, however, the O2 gauge is reading, however, seems to be very off.
What can I do to get things right.

Well, code 41 is the heater/oxygen sensor. If you bought an aftermarket one, did you splice the wires correctly? Or did you actually get the one with a plug?
I have a 1995 civic ex.
the original O2 sensor was phyisically broken. Therefore quite apparent as to why I was getting the code.
I purchased an O2 sensor from a Honda salvage place from a 96 civic as they said it would work fine. Being that the 96 is OBDII I had my doubts.
I installed it and kept getting the code, tried resetting and everything and nothing worked.
I pulled it out and demanded a 92-95 O2 sensor, the guy swore that they were all the same. I got one from a 1994 and plugged it in and the code went away immediately without reseting the ecu or anything.
