Default Will a LS crank fit a B16 block?

i did a search and found nada..
is it a direct fit? would i have to alter the crank or the block?
what pistons and rods combination would i use?
just curious..wondering if this would stroke the motor?

it will bolt in
rods need to be custom or the wristpin needs to be raised a lot

You're talking about some REALLY short rods. Like around 122mm short. You cannot move the wrist pin enough either so your rod ratio would be 1.4 or lower. Yuck. Use a B17 or B18c crank instead.

you can if you move the pin into the ringlands. It's been done

Hmmm...you have a 12mm difference in stroke between a b16 crank & b18b crank. This will make your rods around 122mm long. Now if you went with b17 rods you'd still have to make up around 10mm. The typical raised pin pistons are +.137" or around +3.5mm. Now you're down to 6.5mm. I do not think I'd trust the piston that raised the wrist pin 10mm. Not saying it's not possible, I just think that's quite a stretch. The best solution should be custom rods around 125.5mm in length + pistons w/ pins raised 3.5mm. This project would be fairly costly and still have a vile r/s ratio of 1.41:1. No thanks. Put a b17a crank & rods in there and things look allot better. How about a b17 crank and b16 rods w/ raised pin pistons.

12mm more stroke. 6mm up 6mm down. Raise pin 6mm, use ls rod and crank with custom piston. keep the 1.54 ratio. It's been done but I wouldn't do it.

LS rods are 137mm aren't they? That's way too long. So now you're going to increase stroke by 12mm and still use a rod that's 2.5mm longer? I don't see that happening. Why wouldn't you use the b17 rods or at least the b16 rods? All 3 have the same big end I believe.
