H22A / EG Drag Suspension Setup
Progress just came out with a spring setup that is for a H22A in an EG. Right now I have factory shocks and Neuspeed race springs and they seem to work good and I don't have any problems with the front being too low. I also have a carbon fiber hood and moved the battery to the rear. I'm just talking straight line racing suspension right now. I'm thinking of getting some Tokico 5 ways for the rear and leaving the factory front shocks. My question is what would be the ideal suspension setup for drag racing, but maintaining a budget and it being a daily driver? The 5 ways would alow me to adjust the rears when i was going to race. I don't want a whole $900+ coil-over setup. Also, for the other H22 EG guys, what are you running suspension wise and how do you like it?
anyone know the spring rates for the neuspeed race springs i have? if the rears are stiff enough, i'll just keep them. i don't think the fronts are a problem since it doesn't sit to low and there's at least an inch wheel gap. i just need some rear shocks. tokico 5 ways, kyb's, or koni's, or are they pretty much the same?
im running the koni yellow shocks with adjustable rebound and dampening. with gc coil overs for a type R. in my 93 eg hatchback.. i have them set perfect for street driving. they work great!
IUf you want to work on a budget I would suggest either Skunk2's or GC's w/ illuminas. If you can save up get some Tien's. I have run the skunks and illuminas for a while and they are great, but I put Tiens on a friends h22 ek hatch not to long ago and I had to switch, but they are a little more pricey!
Yeah, I think I'm going to go with the Tokico 5 ways and keep the Nuepeeds for now and see how that works. Thanks for the responses.
edit: Anyone tried the new Progress setup or heard about it???
