I have my "new" 93 hatch and my old 92 hatch. the 93 has no trim on the left and right sides of the windshield(only the little orange clips). how do i remove the trim from the 92 and put it on the 93? its on there pretty tight and those clips seem pretty weak. i hear its around 80 bux for the trim from the dealer too. thanks.

 

anyone? i have some water leaking in my car and i think its because there is no trim.

 

i hate to tell you this, but i thought the trim would help fix my water leak, but no.....unfortunatly the TOP trim must me removed by pulling it out (it's rubber) and the sides are metal/rubber with clips....you simply slide DOWN, then UP.....and viola...be careful not to break clips....now u just need to RESEAL the windshield and you're done....just use adhesive seal to install the top part and clip the two sides into place

 

I removed both side trim pieces with removing the top part...........but I broke some of the clips in the process.

Breakdown-

All the clips I broke, brand new, from the dealer: $35
Brand new trim pieces with clips is like $70-$80
Laying the trim pieces on for pics, forgetting they are there, driving off and seeing them fly off the car going 70mph: Priceless.

Yeah it really happened. Ask "I can't believe this ****", he ran over them after they flew off on the highway

Well there are clips that they slide/pop into that mount on the car. Then you slide the larger clips that fit the trim piece on and match those up with the clips on the car. I had it all ready to go once, but realized that I didn't have the clips that went on the car, only the ones on the trim pieces. Good luck, I hope that made some sense.
