got from http://www.hondaswap.com ...but drive to 60mph in fifth gear it should be very close to 3000RPM and every 500RPM after that should equal +10mph..if its around 2500RPM its an LS tranny...if it higher the 3000 then its probably a si tranny..

is there any ready kit to connect the s2000 trans to k motors or even others if possible, also is there any other stuff to be used to fix those front wheel engins vertically in the car

 

If it's in just car just test drive it in 3rd going 60ish your rpm should be 3000
and and 80ish your rpm should be 4000 in 5th Gear

 

s80 is a gs-r tranny

yea its kinda confusing that so many codes cover so many different tranny's, but yea i have had gs-r, ls, and b16 tranny.. the gs-r with stock tire size is exactly 3000rpm-60mph, 3500- 70mph, 4000-80mph and so forth as stated before... my ls tranny in 5th gear at 4000 rpms was at 88mph... but my b16 i'm not sure because its a b16 tranny with lsd and ls final drive ratio..

 

eazyest way to tell is count your counter teeth

 

s80 is usually the newer gsr's like obd2..and y80 is usually in the 94/95 gsr's. just drive it and when ur in 5th ur rpm should be high like 3ish something forgot been a while! gets annoying though too high = to loud

 

you can run those numbers at your local acura dealer and they can tell you if its a GSR tranny .
