how to break spotweld nut for ITR sway?
my car does come with abs but i guess the nut was still there any suggestions? i only have basic hand tools and doing this in my garage with jack and jackstands.
get a big *** flat head screwdriver and grab a hammer and chisel the spot welded nut, if not, just drill it, you can run a nut and lock washer on that end
Take off the wheels for more leverage. unthread the bolt head out a little and then smack it with a hard hammer. Just be sure you don't miss or else you might hit the subframe. Just hit it with a couple hard whacks and get a small flathead and pry it off on the other side. If you want to chisel it, i recommend using some pliers to hold the chisel so you don't hit your hands when you miss. You're going to have to swing really hard. Taking off the muffler helps also
Another way is to run a sacrificial bolt into the nut, and hit it HARD with the hammer. A quick hard blow will pop the spot welds like nothing.
NOTE: Spend the couple minutes to remove the rear muffler hangers so you can move the muffler out of the way. You'll get a clean shot at the passenger side. Trust me, you'll appreciate it that you did (speaking from experience).

I had to do two to figure out this meathod.
there are 4 tack welds for each nut
first thread the bolt part way onto the nut, and hit it with a hammer, this will break at least one or two welds
second take a flat head screwdriver or chisel, this will take out the third weld.
next drill out the hole, reaming out the hole, this will take off the last weld
good luck

okay i guess i'll have to buy a bolt first cause there was none in the beginning, but so i hit the bolt parallel to the subframe or perpendicular(straight on), or just from any angle?

if you want the easy way out, buy one of those air hammers from harbor freight for less than $10. Hopefully you have an air compressor.
I used an air chisel to get mine off. If you have this option, be careful and only depress the trigger in short bursts or you might risk damaging the subframe.
