sorry guys but i have been searching for months.........all my friends call me a liar but I'm wondering if anyone knows the link to that ferrari video where some German guy spent 16 years making a miniature exact replica of a ferrari

 

I've seen that in AutoWeek, but didn't know of the video.

Expensive models but everything works, including the magnetos!

 

no this was totally custom..........one person made every single part.........the video even showed the small valves........he revved it up by holding down the clutch with his one finger and revving the gas with the other finger........shifter worked and everything.........exact one of a kind replica

Yes and they were like 15-20K$ each and the waiting list was several years.

No, the guy made it himself. Built all the parts himself, and it even drives.

 

How 'mini' are we talking here?

 

1/12 to 1/18 or so ... and he made a working v-12 to go in it!
As well as working suspension, ignition, steering, etc.

I remeber seeing this on the Discovery channel. The car is amazing and every single piece was hand built. It is a working engine and even the exhaust tone is identical.

If I remember correctly, his reason for building it was because he could not afford the real thing.

There was another guy that built a model that took about the same amount of time.... But his was only about 4 feet long with like a .1 liter v12
