id offer him $3500. blue book is under $4000 so he should agree. if he doesnt and i were you, i would not go higher. wait a week and he will either call back accepting your offer or you'll never hear from him again... you'll find another one. thats what i would do. you on the other hand may be different and if this is a good deal for you then go ahead and take it if you like it.

And I see why you only have 50 posts. You haven't been around here long enough to know what kind of silly posts end up here IN THE WRONG FORUM.

Midori Green...

Check out how the accident damage has been repaired. I think you should base your price on that. What if it's messed up and you have to re-repair it? That's a lot of money. But to the color.

Go check it out first.

Actually this isn't the wrong forum. EG+/Del sol my friend. Although it might not seem tech related this is the EG+ forum. We would know prices and such for THIS car. And I would agree with the one fellow. Only I would low ball him lower and go to 3000 and see if he grabs. That's what I did on my del sol. The guy was asking 8k for it and I negotiated him down to 6500 just over the phone. Then when HE drove it to my house I got him down another 500.

Regardless of my amount of posts you are still a dumb *** that posts nonrelevant information. This is not the wrong forum because this is the general discussion forum. He is asking for advice on buying a car and this is definetly the place to ask for advice. Maybe he has never bought a car before and needs guidance... Also dont bother responding by telling me to respect my elders and such - i could care less...

Anywho yeah i say a 97 hatch going for 4500 in perfect condition, I'd go for around 3000-3500 with damage. It really depends on what kind of damage though so...youll know what to do
