is it ok to use ctr or itr cams just on the intake side?
i mean, i'm sure it's "ok" (engine not blowing up or anything) but in hp gains? i could get a ctr intake cam for a pretty good price so was just wondering. would there be alot of difference between getting both cams for intake and exhaust or is just getting the intake good enough?
yes, its fine. i have that set-up. but i regret not putting the other exhaust side and cam gears in at the same time....trust me.
One of my buddies who is a tech at my shop and we call him the "dyno queen" because he has 500+ runs. He has had both cams in and he has had just intake cam in. He actually realized more power with just intake cam from itr in his 94 GSR as opposed to both cams. Just to let you know about this guy too and how crazy his ways are. He used to have 3 different exhaust for his car one for street, one for track racing (left and right turns), and one for just show. This guy is a freak when it comes to his GSR.
