Default Irwindale kinda sucks.

On a whim, I went to Irwindale to run their 1/8 mile track. $20 to run and I got only 2 runs in. Big V8 crowd at Irwindale, the ratio was like 4:1 V8's to Imports.
Ran on **** street tires and was not tooo impressed with my times:
R/T .957
60' 2.457
330 6.253
1/8 9.259
MPH 82.22

R/T .872
60' 2.485
330 6.292
1/8 9.301
MPH 82.10

At least I was consistent. Picked up my head from Portflow today, I think I will put that sucker on this weekend, get my slicks, and go back to the track (maybe Palmdale this time).

yeah it does suck. the tradck itself is nice but its a really long wait for only a few runs at only half the track

the track is alright. the domestic crowd is huge, and they love to talk smack to the imports.

Damn, that sucks. I've never been to Irwindale Raceway.

Too crowded, and the track is only 1/8 mile. I won't be going back there any time soon. It was kinda fun beating a Mustang 5.0 though.

im not tryin to be a dick, but with ur mods u should be a lot faster even with those 60's. Your traps should be way higher. Run a leak down and see if all ur comp is there. I ran 2.4 and was cuttin 103 105's and running 12.7-8 with yoko paradas... good luck though... with ur mods im sure itll be damn fast

irwindale is great. what other place can go to thats nearby and be able to test out your car. our cars get excellent traction there one of my freinds race cars gets 1.49 60 foot times there no problem. irwindale launch pad is one of the best ive seen,, they prep the track very well.. i think its is about the driver and not so much the track. we will be back there next week also.

The track itself is decent, for sure, but waiting an hour and a half to get a run in seems a bit long to me. I did notice that some of the serious cars (AEM for one) got to run three times while the rest of us regular Joes sat in line.
