Default Doing a brake conversion on my 90 SI with parts from 92 GSR ?

I am doing a front and rear disc brake conversion on my 1990 civic SI with parts from a wrecked '92 GSR. I have the entire GSR suspension at my disposal. My question is: What combination of parts will give me the correct alignment angles and best performance. I appreciate any help!

Are you trying to get the rear disc brakes? If so you'll just have to get the rear brake system, including the e-brake cables and everything should swap directly to your 90 Si.

well, that didnt answer my question.
I will try again....I am installing Integra GSR brakes on my 1990 SI I have everything from a 1992 GSR. I need to know what combination of parts from the integ and my 1990 Civic SI will give me the correct wheel alignment. I am installing 2" drop springs and a 3deg. ball joint camber correction kit at the same time I will be doing the brakes. Is there anyone out there who has done a similar swap that could share some experience? thanks!

Default maybe too late for this, but...

You may not care at this point, but it seems like it would be easier to use the knuckles and rotors from the 91 Civic 4 door EX. Larger diameter rotor, bolt on brakes. If you're using stock 14" wheels, then you'll have to shave about 1mm off the face of the caliper so it doesn't scrape the inside of the wheel. I did it on my 91 crx si...pretty easy...

I know about the EX brake conversion, but I already have the stuff from the GSR, and it was hard to pass up the deal I got. I am putting the brakes on tomorrow, so I will try different combinations to see what works the best.

This should help bro: http://tjshondas.20m.com/ The rear is a direct trailing arm swap as far as the front goes I don't beleive it is feasable. The knuckles off a teg don't fit a 4g. You might want to get the ex spindles and I believe the rotors and calipiers will fit. I beleive the master cylinder will fit and is bigger also.

thats more like it, thats exactly what I was looking for. I have some time on my hands so I will at least fit the GSR fronts on there just to find out exactly how out of whack it will be. Hopefully I will be able to locate the EX front spindles for a reasonable price.

Glad I could help you out man. I have the Teg rear swap, and I have the Accord/Lude/EX fronts. I almost broke my one friends collar bone one day, when he asked me how well the set-up turned out. Good thing he was wearing a seat belt. I do need and reccomend the larger Teg master cylinder mine is kinda squishy. I've driven cars with the bigger MC it feels real good.

well, I did the swap yesterday(Teg brakes front and rear, 2.25" springs, Teg booster and M/C, and Teg rear sway bar), everything went smooth except when I installed the Integra booster and M/C. one of the fittings on the end of the civic brake line is smaller than the one on the Teg m/c. I tried Home Depot, and even NAPA, but they didnt have anything that fit. I ended up having to go back to the Teg parts car and rob the old brake line off it. I cut the end off the civic line and put the Teg fitting on it . I used a flaring tool to flare the end and bent the line back and it worked perfectly, no leaks! I drove it last night and today, and it feels great. I put new rotors and pads on it so I am going easy on it for now until they break in. I will be going to get it aligned thursday, but for now, I did the old string on the wheels technique to get it roughed in. it doesnt pull, and steering feels razor sharp. I can tell there is some negative camber still though, but its not too bad. I got a set of ball joint style camber adjusters too, hopefully it will straighten the wheels out the rest of the way. Thanks for the help on this!
