i was reading the its better to bore out an ls to 2l than it is to use the b20 since its not meant to be revved that high, etc etc... blah blah. so i suppose upgrade the internals if you're planning on high revving it

thats not true, LS and B20 have the same stroke, and are pretty much the same motor cept the b20 is bore'd out to 84mm with sleeves that are totally redesigned to handle the block being bored out to 84mm. You cant bore out a stock LS motor to 84mm without getting it resleaved.

The only thing people say is not to boost on it, because of the weaker walls. But many people have been able to boost 8lbs+ with no problems.

You can rev a b20 just as high as an LS.

i was sporting the b20z for a wile before i got the b16 head back from skunk2..... if felt like my old gsr.... but the b16 tranny made it fun to drive..... but it sucks on the freeway.... my car is a daily driver and im thinking about putting on a b16b.... the b20vtec hasnt given me problems.... but its too much torque for that little tranny....

FYI, ITR pistons are 81mm, you need aftermarket pistons for a B20 (84mm bore).
