LSVTEC or CRVTEC
Ok, so here's the situation. I've got some options here so I need some insight on what I should do. I've got a 1991 Acura Integra (DA9) with the stock B18A1 in it. I also have a B16A head and B20B4 block in my garage that I got from a friend for next to nothing. They were well inspected and in good condition. So I have a few options. Build an LSVTEC and use the B16A head on the B18A1 block, or build a B20VTEC and drop it in the DA. I want to keep the A/C, I'd like to keep the power steering but I'm willing to let it go, same goes for the cruise control. I'm going to be boosting and tuning it later. Money is no problem. So what do you guys think i should go with? What would suit my needs better?
Refresh the b16 head (seals, guides, valve seats as needed) for B20/V now. Build the LS for boost later. Since money isn't an issue, a sleeved b18 block tends to have less issues than a sleeved b20.
New rings, re-hone, and bearings will also help whatever combo you choose.
