Default Can an ODB2 ECU work on ODBI cars??

Hey guys, I was wondering if it will work, particularly the 96 H23 ECU working on a 92-95 ODBI car??? Will it throw any codes, etc??
Thanks.

Even if you made an adaptor cable to hook it up.. you would get codes out the butt since a bunch of OBD-II sensors wouldn't be there

won't plug in, even if you rewire you would get codes. pointless.

just wondering: whats the point? i know people go from OBDII to OBDI, i guess for emissions or better performance. but what are the gains from switching from II to I?

OBDI doesn't "detune" mods which would help in making power rather than benefiting emissions.

yes u can run a obd 2 engine with a obd 1 ecu with a hraness converion like the one form skunk2. as far as having a ton of codes, i can neither verify nor dispute this statement.

lastly, the only reason i would personaly run a obd converion was so that i could use a hondata s200.

how did this get flipped around? He's asking about running an OBD-II inplace of an OBD-I, not the other way around. And as stated a few times, you'd get so many error codes. Now I don't know off hand if it would be enough or the correct ones, but it might even put the OBD-II into "limp mode"
