Default Can I Get Some Help Please?

ive been a member for a few years and noobs keep postin dumb stuff. this is a technical question in which i know the older memebrs have the information i may need. i have posted this before but no answers, and i know another member needs the same info:

neither fan on my 93 accord are working. i checked the fuses and realys. they are all fine. i hooked up both fans to a 12 volt battery, and both fans work. another member sugested the fan control unit, which is porbably what is wrong. i cannot locate the diagram in my chiltons manual. i know the helms manual should have it, and i know there are members on here who have the helms manual. can you please post a diagram of where to find the FAN CONTROL UNIT, or intructions on where to find it. thanks. also, if anyone has any other ideas of why the cooling fans arent working please post. thanks

i followed the troubleshoot and am stuck. somewhere along the line between the fuse box and diode the blue wire is broken. i tried connecting a wire from that pin to a ground and reconnect the realy, but it blows the fuse every time. i also tapped the blue wire coming form underneath the main fuse box that connects to that relay, but when i ground the tapped wire, both the cooling fan turns on without the fan being on or anything. please help!!!!! i think the actual cooling fan control unit may have crapped out. any ideas????? please help!!!!

You might just want to run a new wire from the (broken main harness wire) plug to where it goes for the broken one. I would try that and then if that doesn't work, replace the fan control unit. Electrical problems are a major PITA.

i cant find the wire that goes to the ecu. form the diagram you posted, the wire looks just like a regular grouns. what i was thinking is that both the blue, and blue/black wire are both grounds. what if i tapped the blue wire to the blue\black wire from under the main fuse box before the relay. then the blue wire would have the ground. what do you think?

If they are both grounds it's worth a try. Why not just run a new ground to a bolt or screw into bare metal. I'm not really sure how it is without actually looking at it.

well, the diagram you posted shows that the wire going to the cooling fan realy is blue. i pulled the main fuse box off, and disconnected the pulg underneath the fuse box to the main relay. when i ground the blue wire to bare metal on the chasis, the fans turn on without the car being on. im guessing that the circuit on the fan timer keeps the fan off till a certain temp. so im stuck. im gonna try that wire tap and see if that works. next ill try to replace the timer unit.
