Default F20 TB same as ITR TB?

I thought I saw a post somewhere mentioning that the TBs are the same. Is this true?

Leave it to Sgt. to come up with that answer.

I have an ITR Spoon TB on my car. I will most likely be getting a s2000 within the next few weeks.

If the TB are the same stock, I would assume that the Spoon TB should work quite well on the S2000, correct?

Thanks,

Cruzer

personally i dont think the spoon tb does anything.
so i wont say anything about "working well"
but it should bolt on with no problems

spoon = big waste of money

saw a guy with one, he spent like 400 new on it and he said he could tell no difference over stock itr TB. i say if you are getting a new throttle body get a bbk or eric's 70mm if it fits your purpose

A lot of people seem to have that opinion. The Spoon TB, and a 2.5" exhaust setup added 15whp peak and 5-8 whp across the band on my b16. Took me from 165 to over 180 to the wheels. Don't know how much of that is the TB and how much of it was the exhaust, but my previous exhaust setup was 60mm.

Thanks,

Cruzer

Are you comparing the b16 tb to the spoon tb?

Wow.. I find it hard to believe that a 2.5" exhaust made that much of a difference over a 60 mm system.. Not doubting your #s just my thought.. What are your mods? Nice #s..

depends on the 60mm system.
some 60mm systems have bottlenecks down to 35-45mm

Steve, how about the APEXi N1?? Is there any serious bottlenecks on that system?

In my case, yes. The difference between the two dyno runs (other than the day) was the Spoon TB, and the 2.5" Exhaust vs. Stock B16 TB and 60mm 5Zigen Fireball exhaust.

Since I paid for the Spoon I figured I might as well swap it on to the s2000 is it would work.

just get a smsp 2.5in ID exhaust or a custom mandrel bent 2.5in ID exhaust. the difference is night and day compared to stock or usdm itr. yes the apex has bottlenecks too. most aftermarket exhaust do except for those made by a custom shop or smsp and the like
