Default ¿Going turbo?

Alright everyone says dont bo0st a 5th gen. for who kn0ws how many reasons why...but im wonderin if i get an F-max or the new Drag Gen.4 bolt on kit, and keep it under 10 pounds would it be alright if i leave the internals stock at first since i dont have 7k to go all out at once? and also i was wonderin if the turbo kit alone and a 3" exhaust and a clutch, would this be ok for the first like year of driving it? or wha mods are 100% necessary?

2001 base prelude 5spd --aem cai
-4-2-1 dc headers
-v-tec controller
-custom cat back exhasut (no cat)

on stock internals i would stick around 7 or 8 psi. u could maybe do 10 every once in a while, but for daily driven i woul use 7 or 8. the 3"exhaust would be a good buy, it will help your turbo last longer by freeing it of backpressure.

You might also want to pick up a fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator. Maybe even an MSD ignition.

i have been running 10 lbs for a while now with no problems, i do have stock internals w/ a head gasket. a/f tuned to 12:1 and i have the act clutch, works really well. you can see all the mods and a dyno @ http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/w/...97prelude.html

i ran h23 f-max for 3 months then blew the ringlands, sleeved, rods and pistons later, i have a motor that can handle the boost. dont be surprised when you pop the motor. H-series piston ringlands are weak
