Default Clicking noise when i turn???żżż

Just want to know if anyone has had this problem and
what you did to correct it. Every time i turn sharply i
hear a clicking noise coming from my wheel well.
I know for sure that my alignment is off because i took
it to Pep-Boys and they said that they couldn't align
it perfect because the passenger wheel is slightly more
back than the drivers. They said that it was due to
a wreck or a pretty bad curve hit. I looked at the car
and it doesn't look like it was in a wreck, but the
curve hit is something different. Also this is the way
i bought the car about a month ago.
Just trying to get some help here, thanks.

Maybe you need to do a break service to clean out all the rust around the disks and drums. It could be a drive shaft or a wheel bearing that's starting to go.

It is more likely your cv axle if you have not replaced those recently.

I don't think those have ever been replaced. How much
do they cost?
Also what's a CV Axle??
sorry for the ignorance.

Constant velocity axle. It's that big rod that goes from your tranny to your wheel hub. It's basically the drive shaft. Depending where you look they go for 100 - 200 Canadian... minus the core charge so say about 60- 125 Canadian. Each.

They normally go for 60-80 each. Jack up your car and look around at axles adn see if your boots are torn. This is one of the reasons for going bad besides just wear adn tear. If you need pic of something of what they look like you can go to driveshaftshop.com i believe(dont quote me). Replacing them is pretty straight forwrd deal so go ahead and do it if its them. Dont wiat b/c if you do the click will get much louder and eventually could break. Play it safe.

How in the Hell does a rubber boot make noise? It is the outter joint making noise. Which one? A good rule of thumb; turning right and you have the noise, check the left side . Turning left, check the right side.
Next lesson, how to check inner joints.

What you're looking for is a tear or rip in the rubber sheath that encases the CV joint... the boots are located right behind your disc brakes on the left and right sides. The inner joints are located against the transaxle, also encased with rubber boots.

Here's a picture of a broken CV boot... the outer joint is on the lefthand side.

Now that i think about it. The noise only comes when i turn to the left. Would that mean the the driver CV boot is going??

If you turn left and it clicks the right ones messed up. If you turn right and it clicks the left ones messed up. Do like these guys are telling you, check the rubber boot, if its torn then dirt and all types of crap has gotten in there and all the axle grease has probably fallen out. no lubrication and it will not have anything coating it, meaning metal on metal touching constantly and grinding itself. This happened to my car, the boots were both cut and i had to replace both axles. If you catch it in time then you can just replace the boot, the more time you spend driving your car around the more chances you have of your axles breaking which is not a pretty sight. Take it to a shop and get it done asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree just get to the boot done right now. the more you drive the more of a chance you have of it breaking. The more you wait the larger the chances that you may snap the joint and bye bye need new drive shaft. If you need a used one e-mail me Mine are just lying there since B16A

ok it should cost around 100 - 200 bucks to fix. The part should have a lifetime warranty on it so that if it messes up again then they should only charge you labor.
