Default Doing my EMISSION tomorrow: need some tips

im doing my emission tomorrow and i put back my stock cat and stock headers.
But after i put it on, i notice that i have a small exhaust leak before the cat. it doesnt sound like it but oyu can see the leak a lil.

here is how it looks:

Engine ------ header -------leak ------ cat------muffler.

i have VAFC, B&M fuel regulator, msd 6al and intake right now.

i will put my settngs to 0 for the vafc and put the fuel to 38psi and run a LS ECU (instead of chipped P28)

any tips?

put 2 bottles of HEET (ISO) in your tank
you can get it at your local autoparts store
fill up with 87 octane
this will give you a cleaner burn and lower your emissions

If you are in California, you better take that B&M FPR off; those things are not considered smog legal. Other than that, make sure you have E.O. numbers for all your bolt-ons (if you have any), and make sure your timing is set properly and the idle is at stock. It is the little things that make a difference.

Just to be on the safe side, it probaly isn't a bad idea to drop some of that HEET in the gas tank; it can only help.

Good luck.

when i did my emission test (in Vancouver, BC)
i was told to..
a) have the car running for atleast 40minutes beofre the test.. and do lots of highway runs.. like drive it hard
b) whlie in line up.. keep it @ 2500rpm.. make sure your cat is lit basically
c) pour in some methyl hydrate into your fuel (too much is bad for engine btw)

Don't drive the car hard and don't let it idle. Like already said, drive on the highway for about 10 - 15 min. Make sure your car doesn't sit too long before you have it tested. If the the cat cools down while waiting, you'll most likely fail.
