Default Clutch Cable Adjustment

How do you adjust the cluth cable on an 89 HB?? Do you do it from underneath the car?? On which part is th adjustment made??

the adjustment is done by twisting the black piece, its located on the cable tranny bracket right under your battery

Adjusting the clutch cable, is this affect the life of your clutch in any way? like is it a adjustment or tension? cause tension would make it wear out faster??right?

it basically adjusts where the pedal is in the movement of the clutch. the actual tension would be the pressure plate. but if your alignment is off enough, you wont even be able to get into gear. so its not really a matter of fine tuning - its more it either works or it doesnt.

as for the proper instructions, follow your helms for the proper steps. some aftermarket clutches require a difference procedure, in which case you should follow their instructions. every setup is different. removing the battery as stated above is a big help. it should take more than 10 mins to adjust it.

you just gotta adjusted it and play with it to see where you like it to grab. some people like to have play on it ...or some like it to grab at the top, so just mess around with it..
