right on the cable itself

under the hood, on the tranny where the cable is connected to the tranny

theres is a big round black twisting ***

(ALWAYS WARE GLOVES WHEN THE MOTOR IS RUNNING)

turn the *** till you feel the clutch is just right for you

turn left to loosen, right to tighten

correct.. and just tomake it more clear. the cable for the clutch is between the tranny and the rad.

dont over tighten it, you need to leave between 1/16 and 1/8 of inch of freeplay. meaning you should be able to pull the clutch arm (at the end of the cable) up slightly.
if you overtighten it, you will wear the clutch out faster.

Yes turn it to the right until the clutch release arm has just a tiny bit of free play.
To get an idea of how loose your clutch is at and where it needs to be, before you adjust it pull up and down on the clutch release arm. It should only have a tiny bit of wiggle room. Tighten the cable until the arm is all the way up (up as far as you can pull on it by hand) then back it off just a hair. if its too tight your clutch will rub on your pressure plate causing premature wear.
