Default Clutch Cable fits but......

I have searched on this topic, and people said that there clutch cable is to short. I have it connected to the lever and when i press the clutch it goes up and down. but i noticed that the level dosnt go all the way down. When i take it off the bracket it goes down about another 2 inches. When the clutch isnt pressed is the level suppose to go all the way down? Thank for your input

there is a certain amount of freeplay or slack, tighten the cable to where the lever stops moving easily then adjust accordingly

Yeah I have it all hooked up. but i cant losen it anymore. But when i take the bracket it off the transmission the level can go down about 2 inches. So what i want to know is if it is suppose to go all the way down or is it suppose to be up a lil bit when the clucth isnt pressed?

Bump
I know this is old but his question was never answered. My clutch cable is doing the exact same this as this guys. I have it loosened all the way, and now all my clutch pressure is gone. Some one please let me know what i can do to fix this. Do i need an integra clutch cable??

if anyone cares, i fixed the cable problem. The clutch cable wasnt adjusted correctly. Now i have all the clutch pressure back, and all the gears shift very smooth.
