it really all depends on whether you plan on going turbo in the future or staying with all motor, because you will buy parts that you will end up not going to use when you have a turbo. if you are going all motor some easy parts are cold air intake and headers. if you have the money some higher compression pistons or even maybe cams with cam gears. just a few suggestions.

Head work for better breathing. Resleeving the block for more displacement.

The wealth of information on upgrades for NA applications are endless in this board...I suggest you do some reading and searching to...generally speaking I/H/E boltons will provide decent hp gains; furthermore you may look at upgrading your suspension and finalise this by rebuilding your engine with cams, etc.

get an CAI. it's a little pointless if u can't complete the air flow set up. by the end of summer, what is restricting you is your intake.

better internals and then adjustable cam gears, and with better tuning you can get more hp

if i were you spend 400 bucks on some cams and spend about 200 for adjustiables and polish that head tune that sucker u'll be stylin with HP
and for the last but least run on high octane for max HP, i got a buddy here with GSR only head work and is running 13s not bad just for headwork

i suggest running on whatever you have your car made to tune on...unless you have a standalone and tune it for higher octane like race fuel. adding race gas to a stock set up tuned motor will do nothing but decrease the likelyhood of detonation and knock.

Big cams with camgears, p&ped head with titanium and stainless junk inside it, designed to make power to 10500 rpms, higher compression pistons with forged rods and better sleeves, 4.9 final drive, strip your car, etc.

Your best bet would be to become a better driver. Take some driving classes and never assume that you're a good driver: you can always wring more out of acar by changing the parts that sit in the driver's seat

is the car gonna be just drag or street/drag? if its 100% drag then id suggest you buy everything and start gutting it right now if its a street/drag daily driver then maybe some mild gutting and start working on the head and letting the motor breath easier

Eric, To make your car faster dont worry about HP. I sugest that you start at the top of a hill and race down it...lol J/k Instead of getting a new header and internals. Take the guy up on his offer of installing the B20 Engine and the new manual Tranny... youl haul........ also youl never be that fast with a 500lb system in your trunk... just my opinon

Get a head package from JG. I believe they run $700-$1000 brand new.
