pretty much alot of the power in the car are 12v...for example
signal light.
you can do it direct with the battery and activitate it by hacking into the steering wheels column.

Well I'm going to use my psychic ability and guess that you have a 4th or 5th gen Accord because I can't find anywhere that specifies this.
What your going to be looking for is a thick (10ga) black wire with a yellow stripe. You will find it under the column going towards the fuse box in that thick bunck of wires. Poke it with a test light to verify that you have the correct one. (Or use a multimeter.)

go do a search on a s2000 push start wire up.
most of the ricer site have some sort of diagram from that you can figure out
where to slice and dice.

hey stu, Ive found the wire
it is in the cabin though and I have only a few inches of spare wire I can work with, should I cut it and put the wire that I need fed, along with both ends of the Black/yellow wire into a wire nut and call it done?
Thanks

You can do that but I would recommend a good butt connector for in the car. Those wire nuts have a tendency to vibrate loose over time and it could cause problems.
Edit: It's a big thick wire correct?

yeah, it's a big thick wire...I have it wire-nutted for now and I ahve power to the switch
...When I get some time I'll do it right...Everything is going as planned except I forgot to hook up the fuel-pressure cut off thing
On my NOS kit so it didn't work on my 1st try, maybe I'll give it another go tonight
