Default Door lock switch not working. Checked all fuses.

Hey, I have a 1990 Honda Accord, and just last night I noticed that whenever I want to unlock all doors by pushing the door lock "button" it doesn't do it. I don't here any actuation. It doesn't do anything when I try to unlock or lock the doors. I also tried the button on the passenger side but that doesn't work either.

I got out my fuse checker todat and went through eveyone of them, inside the car and under the hood. They're all in working order.

Does anyone have an slight idea to what this could be?

Thanks for all help guys/girls.

you can do what I did on a 1989 mercury sable dissasemble the switch and clean the contacts and reassemble it. IT definately beats paying for a new one.....

That's a good idea, but could the contacts on BOTH (the drivers side and the passenger side) switches have gone bad at the same time?

I apreciate the info. I may end up doing that just for the hell of it.

sounds like an open in the circuit to me but you can check the switches out anyways maybe the lock is on and the driver switch is bad. in that case neither one would work

Could you kind of explain what that means and how to fix it? I would most certainly appreciate it.

Thanks again for information.

I know that you've done it already, but check the fuse for the clock. When I took the fuse for that out of my car, the controls on the doors didn't work.

i got the exact same problem as you. been like that for about 4 months now don't even think about it. To lock your car just pull the door handle then push the lock button down. Be Very Careful cause that way you can lock your keys in the car.
