How do i get rid of all the swirls? Also the there are spots where the paint looks a little dull in the sunlight..Should i have it wetsanded? Is there some good stuff to get rid of swirls and bring out the color better?

ZFX mixed with Z5, apply 3 coats. Wait 24 hrs. Apply 3 more coats. Wait 24 hours. ZFX mixed with Z2. Apply 3 coats.

 

ok i saw the stuff about z5 but what is zfx? and what do you mean by mixing them? have you used this stuff on your car?

 

I have used it. I have a black car too (not an ITR, though)

ZFX is this catalyst... you put a few drops of it in with 1 or 2 ounces of the poish to "Activate" it.

You can buy it online (for a little more) from http://www.ecklers.com. They stock it. Else you have to mail a check to NJ.

ummm you could do that

or you could go to pep boys, plunk down 8 bucks for Maguire's Swirl Mark remover, put it on by hand, take it off by hand, then polish/wax/etc...

seemed to work pretty good for me.

 

You sound like you've never used Zaino. There is no comparison.

 

I also heard that nothing compares to Zaino Bros. products. I'm gonna buy some in the future.. Definitely check on the appearance forum. There is good info on waxes and detailing. I've also heard that a clay bar can do wonders. Takes all the oxidation and tiny contaminants off the paint.. Good luck..

 

no I haven't, but there are other things I'd rather be doing then spending three days waxing my damn car...
Zymol is good enough for me.

 

You don't have to do it for 3 days. I only have 3 coats on my car. But more coats = better with Zaino.
