I emailed them the other day about a quote on a B16A2 swap. I said I needed an obd2 engine and computer so it would wire up right to my '96 EK. They emailed me back saying they only sell obd1, and if I wanted an obd2 engine they would have to special order it, which means more $$$. Does this sound right? Is there anyone else in here that has bought a B16A2 that was obd2? Let me know. I really wanna buy from this company, but if they only have obd1 B16A2's I won't.

but are'nt b16a2's only offered in 99-00 usdm civic si's? that would make all of them obd-2.. if not i've never heard of an obd-1 b16a2, however i'm still in school (H-T 101) is my class

 

as for the engine..it shouldnt matter cause its the same motor. you wouldnt be able to use the jdm wiring harness anyways unless you lengthen the wires. as for the ecu.. hmm.. you can try to find it seperate of get a jumper.

i told you that for the price obd2 b12a2 costs me.,.. i just bring in the B18C5 instead.

everybody will have different needs... all i wanna do is bring in things that are popular and profitable... sometimes, this isnt always the case with JDM.

B16A2 OBD2 arent profitable.

This individual seems to make the most sense from what you were originally asking. Only real difference is probably the mileage.
