JDM b18c + usdm type r head + usdm type r pistons = valves hitting pistons?????
we are in the process of building a NA b18c motor. it has usdm type r pistons, usdm type r head, and a mugen head gasket. will this combo work or did i get some bad info. we are having clearance issues when we turn every thing to top dead center

Poorman itr combo shouldn't be a problem. Is your cam set @ 0 deg (straight up)?
You may want to redo you timing belt install and make sure to line up the cam/crank properly per Helm.
