Default 4040 proportioning valve

How can I tell if it is a 4040 proportioning valve, and which one will work best with my car, it is a 92-95 civic lx.

I heard a 95 integra rs one will work, but when I was at the wrecker it was to hard to tell what kind of integra it was..... any pics of the right proportioning valve would be good to.

The 4040 valve will be stamped "4040" where this one is stamped "3030":

Unless you have upgraded to bigger brakes, and/or rear disk brakes, you shouldn't mess with it.

And apparently the ones from second gen tegs work too, that's what i got mine from. And you don't have to change the bracket or anything.

you'll do fine with a 30/30 prop valve...i'ved done this gsr brake upgrade on four civics now.

Sorry to jack your threat ,

I just did a brake swap from a 95 ls to a 92 si, for both front and rear, ls mc and booster,
One thing i forgot to take out is the proportioning valve from the integra, so will the one in the eg work with the brake system?
