i've just converted my 92 accord to disc brakes and i'm trying to install a 4040 brake proportioning valve from a 90-93 integra RS. looking at the integra prop valve, the bracket is the NOT the same on the accord. also there are stamps indicating what ports on the valve go to the rear calipers, but there are none indicating what goes to the front calipers and to the master cylinder.

this matters to me b/c the prop valve is at a different location on the integra, hence the different bracket. i will NOT transfer the brackets as this will ruin the seal between the two halves of the valve and will cause a leak (the alternate reason why i'm replacing my valve).

here is the accord prop valve. note the bracket location.


here is the integra prop valve. note the difference in bracket location. it's still in the same orientation as the above pic (reference the screws and rubber "nipple").


here is the accord prop valve installed in my LHD accord (front of the car is towards the bottom left corner of the pic). the driver's side engine bay wall is where the valve is mounted. the two fitting shown connect to the master cylinder which is removed.


now when i install the integra valve with the bracket similarly oriented as the accord unit, it will have to be installed UPSIDE DOWN! will this affect any biasing? again there is no stamps indicating what goes to the front calipers and what's input from the master cylinder. with the valve upside down the front wheel output and master cylinder input are reversed. it shouldn't really matter in my eyes but i wanna ask for more peace of mind.

Make sure u route the lines in the correct BIAS tho.

yeah i know what you mean. the front left to the rear right, and front right to rear left.
