my friend claims to have ran 13.5 (according to a gtech) with h/i/e and some japanese aftermarket ecu. he said the real owner of the ecu was gonna sell it to him for like 2000 dollars...i still don't believe his a$$...so guys, is this possible? 13.5 all motor with just remapped timimg? personally, i don't think so...

well, my friend ran 13.8 in his b16a 91 si...all he had was the zdyne one wire conversion ecu...that was at the track-

second: is it stripped?
third: stock motor?

he has the stock d16a motor...i don't believe his bs...but i'm gonna whoop on his a$$ to get it into his head at the tracks...i told him i wouldn't believe him till he showed me some timeslips...

I wouldn't believe him AFTER he showed timeslips... I'd ask where he hid the whiteout.
My car will run mid 13's, and I don't believe for a second that a HIGHLY modded H22A1 can be outrun by a damn stock, N/A D16 w/ boltons... hahahahaa... he's in for the shock of his life when he gets to the track.

Is it possible?
Only if he had a tail wind comemsurate to an F5 tornado.
To much credit is given to modified ECU's/Honda engine management sytems. They are very limited even when tweaked by the best.

Well... last fri. night in my I/E, no rear seats, 4Gsi I stayed neck and neck with a 00 lude, lost to a supercharged ex when we hit the bottom of forth gear and stayed even with a 00 si.... so if you know how to drive you can make HB's do almost anything!!! maybe not a 13.9.... but fast.

superhatch-true that....its all on the driver...but no driver can make a mostly stock d16a go 13's...i myself can take off on gsr's by about a car (but they do come back and get me in third) and 99+si's are nothing to be afraid of either...so are most stock hondas...
