Default Compression test results

Ran a compression test on the ole' B16A today. Here's what I got:

#1 #2 #3 #4
220 210 225 220
225 210 225 225
225 210 225 225
220 215 225 225

Here's what I did:
Pulled all the spark plug wires, disconnected the two-wire connection to the distributor, removed all the fuel injector electrical plugs, pulled all 4 spark plugs, held the throttle at WOT, cranked it over 10 or so times on each test. 4 tests per piston, performed consecutively. Yes, the engine was warm. Piston #2 seemed the most reluctant to reach a stable number; it would steadily climb by 5-10psi increments each time. Probably would've gotten higher numbers for that one if I'd have tried for longer.

I'm pretty pleased; what do you all think?

P.S. The engine made some popping noises occasionally as I was cranking it... really loud, kinda scary... any ideas?

I get the same popping noises when i test compression on my car. Actually, when you remove the compression tester, smoke comes out of the cylinder. Could be the fuel is getting ignited from the compression (kinda like a deisel maybe?).

Sounds pretty close to mine, I was a little lower though. I had #200 across all four give or take one #. B16 also....
