Default New Clutch = 1st gear shuddering

Recently installed Clutchmasters stage 3 and aluminum flywheel. Now in first gear when I take off the car has a slight shudder or shaking. When I rev it up to about 3k then drive everything is fine.

My question is this something normal with this type of clutch and flywheel combo or is there something else wrong? I am about 300 miles into the break in period with this clutch.

Thanks

have you been good on the clutch during the break in? Was everything cleaned up with brake cleaner (flywheel and pressure plate) or did the clutch get some grease on it? I'm just thinking of ideas on why it would shudder.

These guys are right, its not first gear. It's just clutch chatter. Its really nothing to worry about, just get used to it.

I guess since my exedy organic isn't that extreme, I don't get the clutch chatter.

yea the clutch is chattering, not good for it. do all u can to not do it. just dump the clutch and burn out if u have to, but dont let it chatter like that, its a bad way to fubar up the trans not to mention the clutch and flywheel

clutchmaster stage 3 on my crx. does the same. you can take off without the chatter once you get used to it.

Some times is chatter and sometimes its motor mounts. If its chatter you must just learn how to work the clutch in smoother. Sometimes with REAL grippy clutches, stock motor mounts tend to break depending on you whp. Just do a check.
