I have a friend with a UK Honda accord and it has an F18b2 engine in it. Has anyone any experience with this engine. We do not even no the spec of the engine. What mods would you recommend as we can not find anything for it.

He was looking, for a cam, I take it he could fit a bigger throttle body from an H22 engine. Do you know the spec of this lunch.

 

F18B2? interesting, ive never even heard of that. have any specs?

 

All i know about it is that it is a 1.8 sohc vtec lump. only revs to 7000 and vtec comes in at 4/4200. Cant remember the year of the car, its not the brand new accord coming out its the one before it was called the accord sport, has all the same body kit as teh type R version we also get in the uk, but with out the big wing.

 

I dont know where you would find a cam or how similiar it is to our F series motors. Im sure the H22a throttle body would fit.

 

Here are some specs of the F18B in the JDM:
Accord 1.8 VTS
138hp, 124tq.
9.3:1 CR
85B/81.5S
SOHC non-VTEC

i think i know wat model ure talking about.. its not really an accord but carries the same feature.. its like the cb4 but its call honda city.. or something like that.. it does carry a 1.8 vtec though.. i dun really know any parts that u can get for it.. but try gettting it from the integra.. if i'm not wrong.. i think they should fit.. cause its pretty much the same engine with the teg except for the doch and soch.. tats all the difference is.. other parts should be interchangeable.. like the f22 and the h22.. good luck..

 

??? With all due respect, do you have any idea what you're talking about? There's no interchangeable parts between f an b engines, at least not internals.
