Default MT or M&H

I have been looking for some M&H 24.5x8x15 or 24.5x8x13 but cannot find a very good price on them. One of our local distributors carry MT and I can get a nice price from them. Is there much differance between MT and M&H? Also with me only having 390-410whp will I see much of a differance between the 15" and 13" slicks? I'm trying to decide if I should sell my fastbrakes and get 13's or keep them and get 15's?

Thanks

The difference between the two might be weights. Check their sites or call to see which is lighter. The compounds are similar but both are good. Sorry can't ans the part about sizes. But what is you suspension setup like? You might benefit more from adj shocks, front crossmember or something else in the suspension dept.HTH

I have Progress coilovers, traction bars, lsd, and 2 step. I'll see how the regular Progress coilovers do at the track and I might buy there rear drag coilovers to swap out. I also didn't have the 2 step last year so I will be playing with it also this month.

the MH are a little softer(sticker)than the MT...MT's are compounded to have a long life, so the compound is not as soft as others

depends a little on your tranny(for size). M&H gets my vote for brand. if your making 400+ to the wheels and running a b16/type r tranny, run there 25x8x13's. but the 24.5'sx13 will work well too. i'd stick with the 13" rim if you can.

I have a gsr tranny and with 22" slicks I was shifting into 5th about 50' before the finsh line. Jinx will I see much of a differance in my 60' with the 13's or teh 15's. I do drive the car everyday so I do like the brakes but if I will even see a tenth differance I will switch.

Both tires are good but I found that Mickey's are better constructed than M&H. I think the Mickey's are a bit heavy over M&H but not by much. Like I said, the MT's are a better constructed tire in my opinion. If Goodyear would make those sizes, i say go with goodyear 100%... great tire.

i agree 100%. if goodyear made the smaller sizes the choice would be simple.

you guys are talking about Mike. He was a cool guy. I think he was a dentist...or wanted to be one. Turbohonda has a white 94 integra that has run 9's. MT's are alot heavier then both mh and goodyear. I think in my 26 talls, the mt's weigh like 10 pounds each more then the goodyears.

I used to run the M&H 22x8x13s I liked the compound they were very soft and got very good 60 fts 1.8 or high 1.7 best but of course due to size had to move up to MT 24.5s I liked the fact I didnt have to shift 5th gear but felt the compound on the M&Hs were better best on the MTs were consistent mid low 1.7s and best of 1.67. I am getting a set of M&H 25x8.7x13s a friend who went 10.50 has praised them and liked them much better than his old MTs 24.5s. Also you want the 13s so you have more sidewall, I don't think (could be wrong) they have 24.5 or 25x15s, I think the smallest diameter with 15s start at 26 inchers, exospeed may help on this info. My tranny is B16A with Quaife btw. Good luck, exospeed I need a price for the M&H 25x8.7x13s shipped to 23462 Thanks.
