Default What should i get to help with traction issues with a turboed gsr??

i have some serious traction issues with my gsr. I'm not sure what to do about it. Mostly it is when the roads are wet, obviously i'll have less traction but its really bad, i can barily start on a hill cause of the poor traction. Should i get a LSD? The suspension is stock still, or should i concentrate on a better suspension (IE: itr sway rear bar, coil-overs, and shocks)? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!

An LSD would be the most help for poor traction. After that get some springs/shocks to decrease weight transfer. Also, what tires you are using makes a huge difference. Summer tires this time of year and even a stock civic will have traction problems.

i'm running on nitto 450s right now. I'm most likely going to be switching up to falken azenis when these die out. Would that help or should i just go with a lsd? the best price i've found so far on an install is around 450$ does that sound about right? Also, are they very hard to put in? or is it a drop in kinda of deal after removing the tranny? Also, does anyone have an article/write up on how to install a lsd on a gsr?

You could adjust your camber to 0.0 degrees with a camber kit. I assume you are lowered and this could have something to do with it. I would only do this if you are really interested in only drag racing ina straight line. I don't knwo what it will do to your car in the twisties y0.

I've got the OEM itr struts and springs on my car and azenis...they've helped a little until I can fit the LSD in my price range, but as I don't really drag race that much I don't feel I need it right away.

u need a stiffer suspension. stock isn't cutting it.
u will need traction bars, z10 or jim fabs your choice (jim fabs )
i would also get motor mount inserts or stiffer mounts.
and GOOD tires.

an LSD will help with consistency.
if you have lots of power. a gear based boost controller would help.

sound advice, but in your opinion or anyone elses for that matter, should i spend my money on the LSD and the install, or should i buy the suspension and install it myself (i dont have a problem installing suspension i just wont touch my tranny...) Basically what i'm trying to say is for the money what is going to help my problem the best?

do your suspension first, all the bolt ons. eliminate wheel hop slowly then traction bars to completely eliminate it.

many people have run with open diffs. u can too
LSDs cost alot of money. it'll depend on your case on what u want to do.

in my case, im just going to do everythign i said early. just the cheaper stuff first.

I have the same tires, they suck, that is part of the problem. Better tires and an LSD should do the trick.

I'm a bit of a noob here, but would't the LSD double your traction, and the Z10 control the wheel hop from the increased traction. Stiffening the rear suspension and poly engine mount inserts would help to put the traction to the ground a little bit quicker.

What Sonic said at the top ^
