Default Motor oil.

Recently I've realised that for some strange reason my engine oil level seems to be dropping down to the minimum mark after 1-2 days of driving despite having topped it up.

I checked that there are no leaks. Motor is running OK as normal. Plugs are in good condition. I'm using Castrol Magnatex, can't remember that exact rating but its 5-40W or 10W-50W.

Reccomended oil is 5w30 or 10w30.... I dunno what using the oils you mentioned will do to your car.

i've noticed that a lot of the b18c5's end up burning oil, not at the rate you're reporting though.
try the recommended weight and monitor it closely.

Why are you using such thick oil?

I normally use Mobil 1. Just thought I'll try this out at my last oil change...

Looks like I'll be goin back to Mobil1 soon as I didn't loose a drop when I used it. Dunno whether its the oil itself or something else tho...
