91 crx si---- DROPPED a b18b in it i need wiring help----
the mottor its a 94 b18b that went in to a 91 crx si, and i used the SI harness. the MAP sensor is located by the fire wall, i removed it from there and put it where the b18b MAP sensor is by the throttle. was that right for me to do? also the crx has a fast idle control sensor in the back of intake manifold, the b18b has one allready built in it or something where do i plug in those wires?
also the o2 sensor on the crx has only one black wire, and the b18b 02 seonsor has 4 wires coming out of it. which one is it? or should i use the crx 02 sensor
You need a 2pin IACV or you'll throw a code for it. You say its built in?? Never heard of this but havn't messed with B18B. Is it like the Y8's where it has it built in the throttle body with a oval 3 pin connector, if so you need to tap and add for the IACV. You can use either of the O2 sensors. The Crx is a single wire no heated o2 sensor while the other is a 4 wire heated. If you go with the 4 wire you need seach in the crx/ef forum and get some directions from there. I know that 1 black goes to a constant + other goes to a - green and white I forget, but one goes to the ECU other may be left open. If you go OBD1 you need that 4 wire o2 sensor though. BTW how is it in NH?? I'm orginally from Lee NH near UNH in Durham??

I can answer all your questions.
For the map sensor, what you did was right. And forget about the fast idle control sensor wires, just tape up the plug and leave it hang.
What to do with the o2 sensor depends on a few things.
The easiest way to run your car, would be to just get an ecu and distributor from a 90-91 integra (PR4). In which case you would just use a regular crx o2 sensor.
If you decide to convert to obd-1, you will need the newer ecu/distributor, and will have a slight bit of wiring ahead of you. Nothing major, but you will either have to buy or make a conversion harness.
I would suggest you go the 90-91 ECU/Distributor route.

Here's the diagram for installing the 4 wire O2,
disregard the part of splicing 2 O2's...and here's a pic of how the sensors on my old 97 LS motor were connected.

The BEST way to go is to use the P75 ECU and distributer. I know you probably got at least one of these parts with your B18B. Wiring conversion charts are just about everywhere these days. Hasport.com has one.
i allready have the 91 teg ecu and distributor, i'm not going obd1. i start the car and the thing goes all the way up to 2K rpm. that fast idle control valve got to be doing something. has anyone left it out? what happens? i guess i'll be using the crx o2 sensor. also i have an automatic radiator for the crx can i hook up the lines for the 91 integra 5 speed. i heard its not good for the oil anyone else done this?
