just wanted to know 'cause a ricey green ex coupe took me by surprise...i drive a 99si with intake, jdm 4-1, and an exhaust. I FUCKEN hate losing. Anyhoot, I was wondering if it could've been a b16-turbo.

LoL sohc ownz it was prob. a d16 turbo ive heard with low boost they push the low 200's but im not sure

 

properly tuned with 6-7 psi, probably around 160-170 whp, depending on turbo, ems, etc. I bet you got spanked, I keep up with my buddies 00 Si with my slightly NA 94 Si

 

yeah i got worked...i took his *** off the line (Azenis rocks!) and he caught up during the end of second gear and i just let off after he passed me up.

 

not that i think about it....it most likely was a sohc turbo...aiya

 

My friend has a turboed HX and with the HX tranny I used to get him by about half a car length with my '99 Si. When his tranny went bad he replaced it with one from a '95 Si. Now he gets me by a full car length.

 

how high does he rev that HX...j/w

When i was running the Greddy kid on my sol w/ automatic tranny i was able to take my friends 99si w/intake by like half a car lenght..this was at 6psi.

 

I think it goes to just over 6500 rpm.

 

my sohc vtec at 5.5 psi takes SI by 3 car length. all the way

 

Is there even a turbo kit for a DX engine?? or is it custom made?

 

you can use the ex turbo kit for the dx engine, the ex intake manifold can bolt up to the dx engine, in 6th gen civics that is, dunno about earlier models, its the same engine though, just not vtec
