JDM ITR compression test #2
I re-did the compression test today on my 00 JDM ITR engine (last time I forgot about WOT)..
Here is what I got:
186, 190, 188, 191
I know my compression is fine, but what I'm wondering is if other people are getting the same compression numbers on a STOCK JDM ITR engine??
Someone in my other thread said his was around 220+, but I don't see how I could be that far off. This motor is in awesome shape and burns no oil.

was the motor warm?
dou you have enough oil in the motor?
how many cranks did you let it run...or did they all die at the numbers you stated?
my 00 itr motor puts 270 accross the board, all within 5 cranks.
stock block
just milled head, and a 1 layer headgasket.
i beat the crap outta my motor, but it seems to get better with age.

Should I do a leakdown test?
Also... I bet it might be a faulty gauge....
can someone give me some input on this? My engine feels fine when driving, it's powerfull, but this seems too low.
I should be above ATLEAST 200... I know it..

i had 210-220 on my old LS/VTEC stork Ls piston stock GSR head,
Couple days ago i did test on my rebuilded LS/VTEC , i got 250-260 without WOT.
with CTR piston .25 over, stock GSR head.
