Synchro. I have the same problem. I already changed my tranny fluid over the weekend, and it still does it. I am going to purchace 3rd synchro and possibly 3/4 gears.

Try and call the dealership, ask for 3rd gear synchro, and 3rd/4th gears.
I believe the synchro is 70~100 and the gears are like 250~300. I don't know for sure. (i have a friend that works at honda, and they are hooking me the f*ck up) the labour is going to be your main concern unless you do it yourself... all in all...like 800~1000...at the most. I might just cost you like 300 you never know until you ask.

acura wouldn't sell me just a 3rd gear synchro -have to buy 3rd gear set -it's $240 -evans honda specialist said -$250 installation if i bring the tranny, but $250 more if they pull the tranny.

Get your syncros changed. Costly

My friend works at the service/parts desk at Acura and I still couldn't get just the 3rd gear synchros.

If you have a manual, you shouldn't have a problem servicing your own tranny. Otherwise, the $250 quote seems pretty damn good if you know how to drop your tranny.

You need the 3-4 Synchro.. no need for a new 3rd gear.

its called the Sleeve set (3-4) and is $158. Not too hard.

it costed me around 700-800 dollars parts and labor to change my third gear synchro, bearings, and seals...
